Hello there, Welcome to the first blog of NextGen e-Gurukul – Homeschooling in India (Online Preschool in India) and This topic is all about what is Homeschooling or Virtual Learning. So, without wasting any time let’s start this topic with a beautiful quote-
“Kids who are in school just visit life sometimes, and then they have to stop to do homework or go to sleep early or get to school on time. They are constantly reminded they are “preparing for real life,” while being isolated from it.” – Sandra Dodd
What is Homeschooling?
Most of us are familiar with the traditional system of education with classrooms, textbooks, desks in rows, rote-based learning, standardized testing & results with a tag of a pass, fail, or different grades at the end of the academic year.
As a student, we all love our school days. But let’s do an honest analysis of your experience with the traditional way of learning in conventional school. Have you ever felt that there should have been virtual learning instead of a traditional school? Don’t think as a parent; think like a student when you were a kid.
Do you feel that the traditional way of learning was a joy for you?
Can it really able to explore the maximum of your innovative thoughts, imagination & potential?
Does this learning engage & involve you in such a manner that you can enjoy your creativity?
Will, it makes you strong emotionally, mentally, physically & intellectually?
Will, it helps you to live a balanced life as a perfect human being?
Does it really prepare you for the struggle of the real world outside of school walls?
We all know the answers to these questions and fortunately, we have the option to plan our kid’s learning in a better way.
Our Homeschooling in India can be an absolute joy for parents & kids. It is based on virtual learning and allows the freedom to plan to learn for the child, which suits the child as per their pace of learning rather than making the child fit in any curriculum or fixed daily schedule.
Why Virtual Learning is better in Early Child Education?
For most of history and in different cultures, homeschooling was a common practice by family members and local communities in early childhood development. In the Ancient Indian Education System, the Entry age of a student in Gurukul was between 8 to 12 years. Before that Kid’s Home was the first school and parents were the first teachers. Where a kid learned all moral values and basics of life in the natural environment.
In Western World, In the 1960s, American educational professionals Raymond and Dorothy Moore began to research the academic validity of the rapidly growing Early Childhood Education movement.
“They asserted that formal schooling before ages 8–12 not only lacked the anticipated effectiveness but also harmed children. They published their view that formal schooling was damaging young children academically, socially, mentally, and even physiologically.”
Their primary assertion was that the bonds and emotional development made at home with parents during these years produced critical long-term results that were cut short by enrolment in schools, and could neither be replaced nor corrected in an institutional setting afterward.
Today, virtual learning is a relatively widespread form of education because of quick information retrieval on the Internet. In 2020, homeschooling exploded world-wide due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Many Students and Parents choose the homeschooling in India option for learning.
Now NextGen e-Gurukul comes with a new concept that is “Homeschooling in India (Online Preschool in India)”. So, homeschooling & Online Learning assures uninterrupted learning for each child as every child is different and should have the freedom to learn in a safe, loving environment at their own pace. In the Modern era, Homeschooling and online learning is a boon especially for Early Child Education
